Google Timelapse Shows How Earth Has Changed in 28 Years

Google can now take you back in time.The search giant unveiled a new project called Timelapse that visualizes how different parts of the earth have changed during the past 28 years. NASA and the U.S. Geological Society have been gathering high-resolution images of the earth for 40 years through their Landsat satellites. Google worked with these two organizations to clean up and curate some of these images, and it also partnered with Time to present these timelapse images along with writeups.
